SPRING LAKE PARK, Minn.- This happens to more of us than we would like to admit, our check engine light comes on and we may ignore it! Something car experts say is exactly what we are not supposed to do. It's your vehicle telling you something is something wrong.
If the check engine light is on it will either blink or remain constant, depending on the problem. Either way car experts say it should be looked at.
"If your check engine light is flashing, that means we have even bigger problems down the road," said Bryan Boesen of Citywide Service. "It means your engine is not running right, you could have an engine misfire, the consumer will feel that with the flashing light, if they drive for a prolonged period of time they can cause eternal engine damage."
If the light is on Boesen says to bring your vehicle in. It's a simple check up.
